“In This Moment” IMAGE MAKING

Art-making can track your state of being; one day at a time.

Regular visual expression can record your progress in relation to a particular issue or general well-being. If you already write a journal, adding an art element can be fun!

There are many ways to do this, but one technique is to create a quick image which captures your current state; mentally, emotionally, physically etc.

Once you have done this over a week or more you have a map where you can notice any patterns or changes. Also with regular practice you may find you notice more easily how you are.

Once we get better at noticing what is happening within ourselves, we are more able to know what we are happy with in our experience, and what we might want to work on changing.

Check out the video as I lead you through this…and remember the emphasis is on the process, not creating a masterpiece! This is just for you- not to show anyone else or display anywhere.

Make it an inviting thing to do. Creativity doesn’t thrive under criticism. Try to stay curious and playful, and see if it’s useful!
